Ukulele

I started learning to play the ukulele since November of 2019. Now I arrange chords, strumming patterns, and fingerpicking styles for songs I really like.

What I like the most about playing the ukulele is being able to listen to any songs and transpose it from the original key to a key that suits my vocal range, then arrange the playing patterns so I can complete the song.

I get excited being able to create my own new product from something traditional.

The Best For You

The Best For You - Nana Ouyang (Ukulele Cover)
Theresa Kong

Two days after the release of Nana Ouyang’s new song, The Best For You, I figured out the chords to play for the ukulele because I was too excited. After experimenting with different strumming patterns and fingerpicking styles, within one week, I recorded the song.

One Day / 一天

I transposed the key of this song into C major since the original song was in a different key. I also arranged the strumming patterns to denote the difference between verse and chorus.

This song is from a Taiwanese drama called 想見你 (Someday Or One Day). I usually fall in love with a song because of its melody, and this song instantly captured my heart.

Original Song: 一天

Original Song Artist: 黄宣 YELLOW

Better Together

I heard this song during the Together At Home Concert for COVID-19. This song gives a feeling of hope, warmth, and togetherness. And I fell in love with it.
